Agility - dictionary definition: the ability to move your body quickly and easily.
Last week I switched the TV on and the dog agility from Crufts was showing. I watched the rescue dogs flying round with precision, speed and waggy tails and this got me thinking about the word agility. Maybe not a word you associate with Hatha yoga. The joy of children
On Monday I was super fortunate to be able to share some yoga with the children of Saxon Pre-school. This was wonderful for me as 26 years ago I worked at the playgroup (as it was then) when my children were small. Creating balance
Our physical balance naturally declines as we age, typically around the age of 50 when muscle mass, bone density and flexibility naturally decrease. Blood pressure regulation is less efficient, our sensory reactors become slower. A physical yoga practise strengthens and stabilises muscles.
